Welcome to Addisons Liveries

We are the fifth generation of the Addison family, which has farmed in Thornton on the Pennyman Estate. We started taking liveries in 1971 and this additional enterprise has gradually expanded to become one of the foremost in the area.

Ideally situated on the urban fringe our customers travel from Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Ingelby Barwick, Yarm, Stokesley, Redcar, Guisborough, Darlington and Hartlepool.

Our stable yards, grazing fields and facilities are divided between what once were three small, separate farmsteads. These are at Thornton Low Moor Farm, Thornton High Moor Farm and Howls Nest. We run these yards together as Addisons Liveries.

Our facilities have 24-hour supervision from our family team who are very experienced in every aspect of horse care. We are open fom 6.30am until 10.
